Landed Cost Desk

Practical guide

Bridge duty and fees to a landed unit cost

The worksheet makes each bridge line editable. Use it to see which assumption moves the unit result, then confirm the duty basis and supplier terms through the appropriate source records.

Apply the worksheet duty basis

This model applies the entered duty percentage to converted goods value only. Brokerage and other fixed fees are entered directly in home currency; confirm the actual quote basis when replacing the illustrative values.

pre-payment total = goods home + freight home + duty on goods + fixed fees

Read the default landed result

With the default 6% duty, 2.9% payment fee, 75 brokerage, and 40 other fees, the engine reports 1,865.51 landed total and 7.77 landed unit cost over 240 units.

The planned selling-price field is zero in the default values, so the planned gross-margin metric remains Not provided.

Review unit economics after actual quantity

Payment fee is applied to the pre-payment-fee total, then the landed total is divided by actual order quantity. Taxes, storage, local delivery, returns, case packs, and tiered pricing remain separate assumptions.

landed unit cost = landed total / actual order quantity

Check your own scenario

Replace the illustrative inputs with measured values and dated specifications.
