Landed Cost Desk

Practical guide

Start a landed-cost plan with MOQ and freight

Landed Cost Desk separates supplier quote fields from home-currency planning fields. Start with an order quantity that meets the entered MOQ and keep freight as a shipment total.

Check the order quantity first

The engine rejects an order below MOQ. The illustrative order quantity is 240 against an MOQ of 200, so it passes the threshold but is not a multiple of the MOQ and receives a review warning.

goods foreign = supplier unit price x order quantity

Convert goods and freight together

The default supplier price is 4.2 foreign per unit and freight is 180 foreign. At the entered 1.36 home-per-foreign rate, the engine reports 1,370.88 goods value and 244.80 freight value in home currency.

home value = foreign amount x entered home-per-foreign FX rate

Keep quote basis visible

Freight is entered as one shipment total. Replace the illustrative currency, supplier terms, quantity, freight, and rate with source-dated quote values before using the comparison.

Check your own scenario

Replace the illustrative inputs with measured values and dated specifications.
